Learn the impact of loss on children. We will cover how the loss affects various ages differently and what the typical stages of grief are. Schools and youth - serving organizations need to be able to offer support and feel prepared when dealing with grief issues.

- Myths about Children and Grief
- My Grief Rights: Ten Healing Rights for Grieving Children (Wolfelt)
- Knowledge of loss according to devel- opmental stage
- Tips on talking to elementary, middle and high school youth
Who Should Attend: PBIS Teams, Counselors, School Administrators, Activity Directors, District Administrators, teachers and other school staff overseeing data assessment, student engagement and building a positive school climate

With the purchase, your organization can send up to four people to the Grief Group Training.

Trainer: REGINA SIEZ
Regina Siez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked with children and families for over 20 years. She has experience in working with foster youth, tribal communities, and students in public school districts. She has extensive knowledge in dealing with death and dying, loss, trauma, and various other mental health issues. Gina also serves as an adjunct faculty in the School of Social Work at the University of Southern California. She is the author of the My Journey Curriculum.
